Chris is an IT and Data Protection solicitor at a top 20 full service firm, having graduated from the University of Birmingham with a 2:1 in Law in 2013. He also contributes to Computers & Law and other sector specific publications.
Chris is the Founder and Executive Editor of Keep Calm Talk Law, which he set up to provide free high quality commentary in a clear and understandable manner, regardless of legal experience. To this day, Keep Calm Talk Law maintains its original publishing ethos: commentary that requires no prior knowledge of the topics at hand.
The future for Keep Calm Talk Law looks bright. What started as a student publication has turned into a publication enjoyed equally by non-lawyers, aspiring lawyers and practising lawyers. We continue to maintain our student roots by promoting legal journalism amongst young lawyers, providing them with a unique platform to write alongside their more senior and/or qualified counterparts.
Outside of law, Chris' passion is being on the water. He started competitive sailing as a team racer in 420s and Fireflies, but has since hung up the rule books and red flags, giving into a weakness for the thrill gained from high performance skiffs, until recently competing in the 49er class. He is also slowly working towards a yachtmaster, with a clear, allbeit distant, retirement plan to cruise around the Caribbean.
