Our Team \ Rhys White (Regular Writer)

Biography

Rhys completed his undergraduate legal studies at the University of Winchester (LLB), before pursuing a masters of corporate law at Durham University. Rhys was awarded the Lord Blunkett Scholarship by the University of Law, and is set to commence his professional qualifications in September 2019, alongside his role as a corporate paralegal in South-East England.

Alongside his studies at Winchester, Rhys worked in a small boutique insolvency firm, receiving ‘hands-on’ experience of the law in a commercial setting; attending creditors meetings, case reviews with barristers & solicitors and advocating the firm’s cases in the local county courts.  Away from the firm and the lecture hall, Rhys took on a number of extracurricular activates in both mooting and debating competitions around the UK.

In his own time, Rhys tries to keep an even keel by devoting time to the ‘needs of the community’, having spent a year with Citizens Advice, a summer in Calais distributing aid to refugees and recently volunteering at a local hospice.

Rhys’ motivation for writing for ‘Keep-Calm-Talk-Law’ is to engage readers in diverse and controversial areas of law; stimulating the reader to further advance the topic in their own mind.
